Lisa started DJing at the tender age of 15, inspired by the acid house culture that was taking over her home town of Blackburn. At 17 was she was putting on parties in and around Blackburn before moving to Leeds at the age of 19 where she fell in love with the city’s house scene and night’s like the legendary Back to Basics.
In her early 20’s Lisa took over management of the Corn Exchange and set about re-infusing the city’s most iconic building with the music culture it had been famous for in the early 90’s. She ushered in record shops including working closely with ‘Play Music’ and hosted some massive events in the building working with a range of promoters to showcase artists including Mr Scruff, Justin Robertson, Nightmares on Wax, Plump DJ’s, Andrew Weatherall, Coldcut and Freq Nasty. She also played around the city putting on her own parties at The Mint Club, The Warehouse and Granary Wharf as well as playing at Back to Basics. In recent years she has played around the world including Brazil, Canada, Amsterdam and Ibiza. Lisa is also a freelance writer and PR consultant.
